William "Bill" Miller, 67, of Hamilton passed away Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Community Medical Center in Missoula from prolonged illness. He was born February 12, 1950 in Hamilton to William and Alyce Miller. He was raised in Woodside and attended school in Corvallis and played basketball, football, and ran track. His love for basketball continued and he was a referee for high school ball for many years. As a young man he worked for United Building Center in Hamilton and later was transferred to Great Falls, MT as the store manager. After the stores closing, he remained in the construction industry for much of his adult life. He was honored to be the President of the Eagles and the Hospice Volunteer of the Year in Hamilton.
Bill was an avid fly fisherman. One of his favorite places to be was fishing along the Bitterroot River. His daughters have fond memories of their Dad taking them fishing when they were young. He also loved to hunt. Bill really enjoyed playing golf and socializing with friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Peggy Flinders and brother Larry.
Bill is survived by his daughters Kristi McCune of Fulton, IL and Melissa Cook of Meridian, ID; grandchildren Amanda, Kristopher, Rex and his first great grandchild Jack. Pastor Ed Polmelear of Christ's Bible Church will be officiating.
