Obituary

AMILTON — William (Bill) Lewis Irwin, 76, of Hamilton, passed away at his home in Hamilton on June 2, 2019. He was born July 28, 1942, in Hamilton, to Marjorie and Harold Irwin, and was raised in Darby. He graduated from Darby High School in 1960 and also the University of Montana, where he majored in physical therapy. He later served in the U.S. Army Reserve. Bill was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Duane (Linda) and Edward, and his beloved dog, Rascal. He is survived by Kathy, his wife of 32 years; his brothers, Larry (Nancy) of Florence, and Gene (Kristina) of Chandler, Arizona; sons, Tom and Mark; and niece, Missy, with whom Bill enjoyed a special bond. Bill's family especially thank Dave Orr for taking Bill on one last camping trip a week before Bill died. Bill had numerous interests and hobbies throughout his life, including taxidermy, ham radios, scuba diving, athletics, fishing and hunting, picking huckleberries and mushrooms and flying ultra-light planes. His wide interests served him well in his many occupations from retail and insurance sales to paramedic services, to logging and carpentry. No services are planned.
