Obituary

Wally McKenney, 83, passed away Monday, Jan. 7, 2019 in Missoula. Wally was born June 25, 1935 in Columbus, Montana to Donald and Lula McKenney. He had five brothers and one sister.

Wally graduated from Billings High School and went on to work in the aerospace industry for many years in San Diego, California. Wally also worked at the Smelter in Anaconda in the 1970s and managed the Veterans Memorial Building in Dinuba, California for 21 years.

It was in San Diego in 1959 where Wally met the woman who would become his wife of 58 years, Thelma/Renie House. They married in 1960 and had two daughters together, Ronda and Jodie. Wally also has two sons by a previous marriage, Brian and Blaine.

For Wally, family and faith was his life. He taught Bible classes for 35 years at their church in Dinuba. The most important thing in his life was serving God and his family.

Wally is preceded in death by his parents and by two brothers. He is survived by his loving wife, Thelma/Renie; his daughters, Ronda (Richard) Schreiner and Jodie (Robert) Hungate; his sons, Brian and Blaine; four grandchildren, Tammy, Shane, Heath and Kasey; and six great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Kaley, Riley, Lia, Haylie and Hayden.

A Celebration of Life service for Wally will be held Saturday, Jan. 26 at 11 a.m. at Gateway Christian Fellowship.

Wally loved his family dearly. He will be missed by all his family and friends.
