Hamilton - Bob was born in Lewistown, Mont. to Merlin and Ruth (Adams) Busenbark. He graduated from Fergus High School and then joined the United States Army. While in the Army he was sent to Vietnam and then later while he was in the Army Reserves he was sent to the Gulf War. After Vietnam he transferred to the Army Reserves where he stayed for the remainder of his 20 years. He attended college in Bozeman, Montana where he received his B.A. in Criminal Justice. He started working as Campus Police in Bozeman, Montana with one of his best friends, Evert Edsall. He was united in marriage to Patsy Shatzer on May 9, 1982. After he graduated from college, he went back to Winnett where he was sheriff for 22 ½ years until he retired in 1997. They lived in Winnett until his retirement and then moved to Hamilton, Montana.
Bob loved collecting guns, reloading bullets, fishing with Phil. having his morning coffee, breakfast with his dog Ornery, neighbor and good friend, Tom.
He is survived by his wife Pat of 36 years in Hamilton, Montana; daughter Sarah (Jerry) of Hamilton, Montana; grandchildren Dustin, Logan, Bailey, and Brooklyn; Brothers Merl (Gladys) of Lewistown, Montana, Sam (Judy) of Billings, Montana, sisters Linda (Bob) of Chinook, Montana, Julie (Larry) of Lewistown, and four nieces and four nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Merlin and Ruth Busenbark and very good friend Evert Edsall.
Bob will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. He will be especially missed by his Freddy Magoo, Brat, Maynard McGillicuddy and Lil'Bit.Robert R. "Bob" Busenbark, 69, passed away in the morning, Sunday, April 29, 2018, at home with his family by his side.
