Alberton – Malcolm P. Deschamps, 84, passed away due to the flu and pneumonia, Saturday, March 17, 2018, at the St. Patricks Hospital. He was born March 19, 1933, in Missoula, Montana to Hector and Elsie (Hebert) Deschamps. As a young boy, Malcolm grew up in Alberton, and was a graduate of Alberton High School. After graduation, he joined the United States Army. Malcolm married his wife, Rae Fleury June 16, 1956. He worked at the Pulp Mill in Frenchtown from 1957 until 2011.
Malcolm enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching the Alberton Panthers and the Clark Fork Mountain Cats play ball. Malcolm was a great son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Family always came first with Malcolm.
Malcolm was preceded in death by his mother Elsie and his father Hector; In-laws John and Tillie Fleury, daughter Julie Deschamps and brother Ted Deschamps.
He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Rae, Alberton, daughter Lori and husband Cliff Hawk, Havre, son David and wife Leanne Deschamps, Florence, grandson Brandon and his wife Mindy and great-grandchild Logan Hawk, Great Falls, grandson Jacob, and granddaughter Kelsey Deschamps, Florence, brother Ernest and his wife Pat Deschamps and sister-in-law Shirley Deschamps of Missoula, sister Mae Burris, nieces and nephews.
Many thanks to the doctors and nurses at St. Patricks Hospital, especially Dr. Joel Musee.
Malcolm requested that no formal services be held.
The Family suggests that memorial donations be sent to the Alberton School Athletic Department, for the Clark Fork Mountain Cats.
