Larry Martin Kaphammer passed away at the age of 81 on February 20th 2018 at. St Patrick's Hospital. He was born on August 16th 1936 in Idaho Fals, Idaho to John and Marie Kaphammer. He grew up with his brothers John, Kenneth, and sisters Yvonne and Emily in Montana.
Larry graduated from Corvallis high school and went on to college at MSU Bozeman, Montana. Larry married his first wife Marilyn Kaphammer (Denny )in 1956 and had four children , seven grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. ‎He worked most of his life as a Millwright at the Frenchtown pulp Mill. After retiring he taught himself to weave, he loved to make his own patterns and weave beautiful silk and bamboo scarves. Larry enjoyed hunting ,fishing,and working in his garden.
Larry belonged to the Lone Rock Bible Church and enjoyed going to his men's bible study class.
‎Larry is survived by children Steve Kaphammer (Deb) of Conrad, MT, Kevin Kaphammer (Melinda) of Hamilton, MT, Bryan Kaphammer (Jackie) of Windsor, CO and Lorie Kaphammer of Missoula, grandchildren Blaine, Andrea Thisselle, Peter , Jordan ,Jennifer ,Annie Kennedy (Jake) ,Kevin Copeland (deceased) great-grandchildren Zane and Asher Thisselle , and a baby on the way .
‎Memorial services are being held at Lone Rock Bible Church 1142 Three Mile Creek Road Stevensville Mt. and will be announced.
