Klaus
Beckmann
Nov 18, 1942 — Feb 18, 2025
Klaus Juergen Beckmann, 82, of Missoula, Montana, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2025, at St. Patrick's Hospital surrounded by his family.
Klaus was born on November 18, 1942, in Berlin, Germany, to Helmut and Margarete Beckmann. While in Germany, Klaus attended a trade school in Koblenz, Germany where he was trained to become a Dental Technician. After moving to the United States in 1966 with his wife Elke, he partnered with his lifelong friend Bernd Welsch to successfully operate a dental technician laboratory in Missoula, where he was known for his dedication, craftsmanship and expertise.
Klaus found great joy in life's simple pleasures. He loved driving his Miata near and far, boating on Flathead and Lindbergh Lakes, trying his hand at fishing, and, most of all, spending time with his family. Klaus was known for his warm and genuine smile and his twinkling blue eyes, which reflected his kind and joyful nature. His warm spirit will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love, kindness, and hard work will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Klaus is survived by his wife, Elke Beckmann, whom he married on April 7, 1966; his daughter, Andrea Loran (Joel); his son, Kirk Beckmann (Caroline); and his sister, Eva Ursula Gennrich (Joachim). He was a proud and loving grandfather to Jacob, Ava, Tayler, and Liam.
Klaus was preceded in death by his parents, Helmut and Margarete Beckmann and his in-laws Hans and Emma Buchenauer.
A private family gathering will be held to honor his memory. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the St. Patrick's Providence Heart Institute in Klaus' name.
