Darby: James H. Gettings, 82, passed away Friday night, December 13, 2024 at home in Darby, with his wife of 51 years, Judith at his side.

James was born in New Albany, IN on September 9, 1942. He grew up in and around Indiana and Illinois. If he wasn't on the road driving truck, you could find him gold panning, hunting or fishing. He reloaded his own ammo.

But his pride and joy was his close knit, loving family. At the center of it was James and his wife Judith. They had four children Sean (Sandy), Michelle (Rick), Dawn (Jerry) and Chris (Kim), 13 grandchildren Ashley (Matt), Brock (Makayla), Brandon (Makenzie), Andrew, Dalton, Jay, Chaunna, Domenic, Kayla, Michael, Chase, Connor and Micheal, and 5 great-grandchildren: Cash, Kyler, Makinlee, Elizabeth and Paul.
