Jaki Lynn
Cassidy
Mar 7, 1961 — Jul 16, 2025
Our beloved mother, Jaki Lynne Cassidy, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2025, after a brave battle with leukemia. She was 64.
Born on March 7, 1961, in Missoula, Montana, Jaki was a true Montana girl at heart. Though she spent time in Colorado and New Mexico, her heart always remained rooted in the mountains and valleys of her home state.
Jaki was a woman of deep kindness, unwavering compassion, and quiet strength. As a single mother, she worked hard to support her family, raising her children with love and resilience.
She cherished her final months surrounded by the love of her children and grandchildren, creating lasting memories that will be held dear forever.
Jaki is survived by her loving father, Robert Andrews; her brother, Robert (Pam) Andrews; her sister, Lori (Jeff) Schaeffer; her son, Robert (Amber) Cassidy; her daughter, Amanda (Paul) Cahill; and her four grandchildren — Carter, Maddox, Bridger, and Anamarie — who were the absolute light of her life.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Judy Andrews, and her brothers Rick Fontaine and Ron Fontaine.
Jaki will be remembered for her boundless love for family, her kind spirit, and the thoughtful holiday treats she always made sure to send — small gestures that meant so much. Her presence brought warmth, her laughter brought joy, and her memory will forever be a blessing.
Our family extends heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated providers who cared for Jaki in her final months. Thank you to Dr. Ries and the incredible nurses at the Montana Cancer Center — especially Anna, Brittany, Beth, Katie, Val, and so many more. Deep thanks also go to the palliative care team at St. Patrick Hospital — Dr. Burke, Erin, and Dr. Johns — and to the compassionate team at Hestia Hospice. A special thank you to Dr. Erick Vines and Rhonda for their support and kindness in her final weeks. Finally, thank you to the 2nd floor providers and staff at Community Medical for the opportunity to use the Hilda room in Jaki's final days.
In lieu of flowers, Jaki would have loved for donations to be made to your local food bank or women's shelter — causes that were close to her heart.
