Jaccilynne Renee Spade
It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our beautiful daughter, Jaccilynne Renee Spade, on November 16, 2024, at the age of 36. Jacci succumbed to a seizure at her home in Petty Creek, Montana, after battling seizures since the beginning of the year.
Jacci was born on Saturday, August 6, 1988, at 10:24 AM in Missoula, Montana, to Michael Spade Jr. and D'Arcy (Spade) Reuterdahl. On October 5, 1992, D'Arcy married Jeff Reuterdahl, the man who would raise Jacci and be the father she lovingly called "Dad."
Jacci grew up in Missoula, Montana, attending Lowell and Hellgate Elementary Schools before graduating from Big Sky High School in 2006. Though she spent some time living in Wyoming and Florida, Jacci's heart always led her back to her family and the beauty of Montana.
Throughout her life, Jacci had a passion for the outdoors. As a child, she loved playing basketball, snowboarding, dirt biking, fishing, and camping with her family. Later in life, she found joy in competing in pool and dart tournaments, where she built lasting friendships. Jacci had a deep love for animals and welcomed many into her home over the years.
Jacci's career as a bartender was one of her greatest sources of pride, where she shared her warmth, humor, and kindness with all who entered her bar.
In 2012, Jacci met Jim Lamphier, with whom she shared many adventures, including trips to Mardi Gras and the Bahamas. Their shared love for sunny skies and sandy beaches brought them joy.
However, Jacci's greatest and most cherished accomplishments came in the form of her two children, Liam James (born 2015) and Mattie Lynne (born 2017). Liam brought Jacci a love so deep and proud only a son could inspire, while Mattie, with her blonde hair and blue eyes, was a precious replica of her mother. Though Jacci and Jim parted ways as partners, they remained devoted co-parents, ensuring that their children were always surrounded by love.
Jacci is survived by her parents, Jeff and D'Arcy Reuterdahl and Michael Spade Jr., her children Liam and Mattie, her siblings Jesse and Joey Reuterdahl and Brittany Muir, her grandparents Michael and Theresa Spade of Arlee, Edward and Gayle Reuterdahl of Helena, and Step-grandma Vicki Vanglider. Aunts Darlene Brumley of Medical Lake WA, Cheryl VanGilder of Portland OR, Michelle (Randy) Meidinger of Arlee, Jani Spade of Coeur d'Alene ID, Uncles Jason (Menesia) Spade of Spokane WA, Todd Reuterdahl of Bozeman MT, and Jim (Tanna) Lamphier, as well as numerous great aunts and uncles, cousins, and a nephew.
A special thank you to Shaela Waltee (son Kaivan), Blaze and Tara Waltee (children Tanner, Taelynn, and Walker), Victor and Robyn Pepe, Alex Pepe, and Kaitylyn Galahan (children Stetson and Rye) for being cherished family members to Jacci.
A special thank you also, to Kristi, Ashley, Sierra and Kayla for everything you all have done for us, and for being such good friends and sisters to Jacci. She loved you dearly.
She was preceded in death by her Grandpa Dee Nelson (2000), Grandma Marsha VanGilder Shaw (2009), Grandma Jan Spade Nelson (2011), Grandpa James VanGilder (2012), and Uncle Shaun Emmingham (2016).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made for Liam and Mattie's future education at any Trailwest Bank Branch. Please mention that the donation is for their savings account, under the care of Jeff and D'Arcy Reuterdahl.
A celebration of life was held in June 2025 at Ambrose Park in Stevensville, Montana.
Fly high baby girl!! Mom and Dad love you dearly and will never forget that beautiful laugh, but we will miss that snort!
