Obituary

Harold Leon Zachariasen born June 14, 1941. Died February 18, 2018 at age 76.
Harold "Zach" Zachariasen born on June 14th 1941 to William and Luella Zachariasen, the eldest of their two children.
In 1949, When Zach was 8 years of age, the US Congress voted to have June 14th declared National Flag Day. From that day forward the whole nation celebrated his birthday by displaying the American flag.
Zach, the Handsome young Man that he was, caught the eye of a Beautiful young Lady named Cheryl Hensel. She was so "smitten" that she married Zach on June 16th 1962. Together they had four children, Rodney, Scott, Eric and finally Cheryl's baby girl, Krista.
Zach spent a lifetime in the Beer industry, along side of long time employer and friends Earl and Donna Sharron, owners of Earl's Distributing. There, not all to his liking, he saw many of Missoula's social changes and growth. He delivered the first of many kegs of Olympia Beer to the now famous Missoula Aber Day Keggers. He saw the Wine Industry evolve into a delight now found in nearly every Grocery store in Montana.
Zach was an icon in the Western Montana Beverage Industry as he ascended to the position of General Manager of Earl's Distributing and was a friend and business partner with all it's customers, knowing the names of owners, bartenders, checkout clerks and swampers alike. He could hardly go anywhere without knowing someone in the crowd. He cherished and held dear all of his coworkers and the people and friends that his career brought into his life. To the relief of many of those friends, he never got around to writing that book.
More than a Beer Man, Zach was a Loving Husband, Devoted Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather. He was a Caring Son, Son-in-law, Brother, Brother-in-law, Uncle and Back Yard BBQ Master. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved the outdoors, and was more at home in the woods next to a creek, cold beer in hand, than he was anywhere else. He did, however, cheat at cribbage, but only to see You win!
He is survived by his wife and one true love Cheryl, son and fishing partner Rodney, his wife Lorna, son Scott, his wife Wynne, and daughter Krista, her husband Kris Carter, brother Arnold, good friends and in-laws, Jeanie and Richard Brugger, nephews Brian and Cody Hensel, many grandchildren and Great grandchildren, nephews and nieces... He is proceeded in death by parents Bill and Luella and son Eric.
