Obituary

In loving memory of Glenna L. McQuigg, age 92, who passed away on July 29th, 2026 at her home in Hamilton Montana with family by her side.

Glenna was born in Satanta Kansas on July 7, 1934 to Glen and Francis Brollier, the second of 5 children. Glenna grew up in Kansas and Colorado, and graduated salutatorian of the Class of 1951 from Manitou Springs High School in Manitou Springs Colorado. After graduation, Glenna met the love of her life one evening during a church service where she was playing the piano for the service. Her love was Cpl Milton E. McQuigg who had returned from combat duty in Korea and was stationed at Camp Carson (now known) as Fort Carson, Colorado. Glenna and Milton were later married November 1, 1953 and shared 72 wonderful years together before Milton's passing in December 2025.

Glenna raised their family and studied to become a LPN, working in the area of Mt. Vernon, Ohio for many years in nursing. In preparation for upcoming retirement years, Glenna and Milton moved in 1986 to Buena Vista Colorado where they were active members of the local Snowmobile Club as well as active members of the Chaffee County Mountain Search and Rescue. After retiring from nursing in Colorado, Glenna and Milton became full-time RVers and spent the fall and winter months in Arizona and New Mexico for 21 years until moving to Montana to be with family.

Glenna is survived by her sons Christopher (Tammy) McQuigg of Hamilton Montana, David Yvan (Cyndi) McQuigg of Kalispell Montana, Daughter

Nerissa (Fred) Confer of Ashland Ohio, son Glen McQuigg of Townsend Montana, 22 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren and brother Dale Brollier of Texas. She was proceeded in death by her parents, sisters Velma Jean Cook, Lorraine Howard, brother Leland Brollier.

Brothers Mortuary and Crematory of Hamilton Montana arranged a family graveside service for August 4, 2026 at Montana State Veterans Cemetery in Missoula Montana.
