Obituary

Georgia Starr (Green) McKeever, 88, of Missoula, Montana, passed away peacefully on June 1,
2025, surrounded by her loved ones.
Born on September 1, 1936, in Haven, Kansas, Georgia was one of six children of Charles
"Charlie" and Wilhelmina "Ida" Green. She was a proud Kansan who often reflected fondly on
her upbringing in a small-town family business where home and work life were one and the
same. She graduated from Haven High School in 1956 and remained deeply connected to the
dear friends she made there, especially her lifelong girlfriends who stayed close to her heart.
Though she held various jobs throughout her life, Georgia found particular joy during her time
at Sears, Roebuck and Co., where she managed the Women's Apparel department. With a
natural eye for style and a gift for making women feel confident, she thrived in a role that
suited her perfectly and was always ready with a kind word or a little advice.
Georgia lived a rich life shaped by the era in which she was born, and the wisdom she gained
from her experiences made her a steady, grounding presence for her family. In her later years,
she gracefully drew from those lessons, offering gentle guidance, wit, and love to those around
her.
Family was always at the heart of her world. She was the proud mother of four children and
embraced six stepchildren as her own, creating a large, blended family that brought her endless
joy. Her legacy continues through her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each of
whom carries a part of her enduring spirit.
Later in life, Georgia found a loving and steadfast companion in Dean McKeever. Their years
together were filled with humor, devotion, and mutual care, marking a beautiful final chapter
of deep happiness and peace. Dean preceded her in death.
Georgia is survived by her children: Jack Hoskinson (Gina), Sam Hoskinson (Leslie Bishop), and
Cynthia Rademacher (Ross); her stepchildren; and her many grandchildren and great-
grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dean McKeever; her beloved son,
Bob Hoskinson (Dee); her parents, Ida and Charles Green; her brothers, Thomas, Charles, and
Samuel Green; and her sisters, Ida Mae (Green) Houdashelt and Martha (Green) Prock.
A memorial service will be held on October 3 at 10:00 am at Mount Hope Chapel in Topeka,
Kansas, followed by a graveside service. Please join the family afterward for lunch at Crestview
Shelter in Crestview Park.
She will be deeply missed and remembered always for her grace, quiet strength, and the love
she shared so freely.
