Erwin W. Deitz passed away on Friday, July 26, 2024 at home in Hamilton.

Ervin was a 1958 graduate of Corvallis High School, where he was an excellent high jumper. He served honorably in the Army National Guard and worked for Hamilton Packing for 25 years.

Ervin was an avid reader, collected stamps, enjoying working on electronics. Everyone who knew him knew that he was a hard worker, spending most of his life working on farms and ranches. He worked until he was 80 years years old. He never married. He was very well loved by his family and friends.

He came from a big family, he is survived by his sisters Pauline Oertli, Minnie Summers, Kathy Evanoff, Mary Ann Jarrell and Shirley Deitz and a brother, Peter Deitz as well as numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father Alex and his mother Tillie as well as his brother Paul and sister Leona.

His cremated remains will be buried in the family plot at Riverview Cemetery at a later date to be announced..
