Dennis R. "Seira" McPherron, 77, passed from this world and went to meet the ancestors on November 1, 2022. Born on June 29, 1945 in Los Angeles, Seira lived on the shore of Lake Tahoe for many years before moving to his farm in Hamilton, Montana with his family eighteen years ago.

Seira ran ceremonies in the Native American Church and dedicated his life to helping others in his role as a spiritual healer. Through the art of active listening, the application of his training in Neuro-Linguistic Programming and Hypnotherapy, he touched the lives of many people from all over the U.S. and Mexico. Seira was also a skilled artisan who enjoyed fine carpentry and creating art in many media. His leather work was especially distinctive.

Seira is survived by his four children, Tyler McPherron and partner Erin Fong, Evelyn McPherron, Aria McPherron, and Ayla McPherron. He is also survived by his sister Diane Cunningham; nephew Douglas Cunningham and wife, Laurel, and their two children; niece April Austin and her husband Mike Austin; and numerous cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, June Williams McPherron Flower and Raymond Kenneth McPherron.

The family would like to thank the friends from near and far who extended their love and care to Seira at the end of his life. A celebration of Seira's life will be held at 1:00 p.m., November 19th, at the MAPS Media Institute, 515 Madison St., Hamilton, MT. Please bring a potluck dish to share.
