Hamilton – Cindy (Byron) Cook, passed away peacefully on the morning of Sunday, May 17, 2026, at St. Patrick’s Hospital in Missoula, with her family by her side.

Cindy was born in Anaconda August 17. 1953, to Alice and Ray Byron.

Cindy graduated from Anaconda High School in 1971.

She attended and received her nursing degree from The Sisters of Providence School of Nursing in Missoula. She continued her nursing career for over 40 yrs as a Registered Nurse.

Cindy was a proud member of the Hamilton Eagles auxiliary for over 50 yrs

She was also a member of the Ladies Ancient Order of the Hibernians.

Cindy loved to camp with her family and friends, play cribbage and Bunco.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Alice and Ray Byron, of Anaconda MT, and her son Ray Cook of Bozeman MT.

She is survived by her husband Robert Cook of Hamilton, MT. Her daughter Cristy Valla, and her husband Travis, of Hamilton MT. Granddaughter Kaeli, and grandson Tyler, as well as her great grandson Archer.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, June 19, 2026, at 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Hamilton Eagles Lodge at 125 N. 2nd St. Hamilton.
