Christy Jo Shiner

April 9, 1959-March 21, 2021

Born Christy Jo to Ted and Nickie Adams of Leadore, ID in the Great Lemhi Valley. She grew up on a family ranch with her loving parents, brother, and sister. She loved her animals, showed cattle, played sports and enjoyed being the class clown and gave her parents many a laugh as well as grey hair. At the age of 18 she met her sweetheart and love of her life, Mark Shiner, they were married soon after and enjoyed 31 loving years together. As best friends they shared many adventures, many laughs and tears and raised two beautiful daughters, Marquee Jo and Jorgee Jo. They supported them in sports and life and made strong independent women, whom also gave them grey hairs.

Christy had a heart of gold, a laugh that could be heard a mile away, and was the only way she could be found in the grocery store, a sense of style that was untouched, and hair that was always ready for the wind storm in this valley. Her artistic abilities were rare and her love of helping people was magic. She was a great daughter, wife, mother, sister, and friend, but most of all she was a wonderful person and will be dearly missed.

She's now sitting around the fire with her mother, uncle, and grandmother, and many friends laughing and chatting. She's survived by her loving husband (Mark), Father (Ted Adams), Daughters (Jorgee and Cody Orme), (Marquee Shiner and Dan Williams), Granddaughter (Swayzee Jo), Brother (Torey Adams and Heather Bybee), Sister (Tammy and Bob Schmidt), Nieces and Nephews, and many more family and friends. She touched the lives of many, and her wild spirit and spunky attitude will be greatly missed.

We ask that instead of flowers you donate towards funeral and medical costs. Donations can be dropped at East Idaho Credit Union In Memory of Christy Shiner under Marquee Shiner's name. We will have a celebration of life this summer. We want to thank everyone for their prayers, thoughts, messages, calls, support, and kind words and patience as we navigate with out the ball of light that is watching over us all.
