Andrea Ann
Poulin
Nov 30, 1977 — Mar 10, 2026
Andrea Ann Poulin, 48 passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at her home in Hamilton. A beloved wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, Andrea touched the lives of many with her warmth and vibrant spirit.
Born on November 30, 1977, Andrea entered the world with kidney failure but was determined to defy the odds. Her strength and resilience carried her through life, which she filled with love, laughter, and adventure.
Andrea was deeply devoted to her family, especially her nieces and nephews, whom she adored. As a young aunt close to them in age, she shared a special bond with them—watching over them, laughing with them, and sometimes getting into a little trouble together as they grew older. Her bubbly personality and kind heart left a lasting impression on everyone she met along the way. Andrea also enjoyed working with children and spent time working at several daycares over the years, where her warmth and playful spirit made her a natural caregiver. Andrea loved her pugs throughout the years—Wrinkles, Peppers, and most recently Phoebe. She enjoyed spending time at the beach with her family, camping with her sister, and listening to the sounds of nature after losing her eyesight.
Andrea was a proud 1997 graduate of Blackstone Valley Regional Vocational Technical High School, where she studied Graphic Design. In 2013, Andrea attended the Carroll Center for the Blind, where she completed a course in Independent Living. In 2015, she attended The Hadley School for the Blind and earned a certificate in Managing Personal Finances. It was there that she met John David Muoio.
After meeting John, Andrea moved to Montana to spend the rest of her life with the love of her life. While in Montana, Andrea attended the University of Montana receiving her degree in Associate of Arts. And volunteered and worked at Summit. John and Andrea were married on May 25, 2019 sharing deep and loving partnership until John's passing in January 2025.
Andrea is survived by her parents: Richard Poulin of Blackstone Mass., Sally Poulin of Northbridge Mass., two sisters, one brother, two nieces, four nephews, two great nieces and two great nephews. Barbara Smith of Barre Mass., Kelly Smith (Tre) of Whitinsville Mass., Dan Smith of Southbridge Mass. and Tyler Smith of New Mexico. Lana Laczka (Brian Sr.) of Upton Mass., Jessica Sueltenfuss (Pete, Nicholas and Madeleine) of Portland Maine, Brian Jr of Upton Mass., Kenneth Rivers (Sherry) of Swansea Mass, Travis Hughes (Chelsea) of Milton, Florida (Kodi Rai Hughes and two step sons). Along with cousins and many countless friends.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in honor of Andrea to the American Kidney Fund, supporting the fight against kidney disease on all fronts.
